Our program uses a hands-on approach to teaching that is enhanced by our small class sizes and one-on-one attention from industry experienced faculty. Key College teaches students the skills necessary to be a successful medical assistant in today’s healthcare system. Our degree consists of class time as well as an externship where real-world application is learned.

Key College offers a two-track approach to the Medical Administration Assistant degree. One track that our students may choose is the clinical approach. This focuses on skills in the areas of phlebotomy, EKG, injections, vital sign measurement and physical exams. Another option is the administrative approach. This is for students more interested in the business side of healthcare. They will learn skills in billing and coding, insurance claims, practice management software, management, and electronic medical records software.

Medical Assistant Specialists can provide both direct and non-direct patient care services for the healthcare industry and its professionals to make the organization operate more efficiently, productively and professionally. There is a two-track specialization approach between the clinical and administrative streams.
